While most folks know me as a militantly self-published playwright and author, it is a little known fact that I am in fact "published" in Germany by one of the largest music publishers in Europe, Hans Sikorski Music. They handle rentals of all the European performances of my "Peter VS the Wolf" (or in this case, Peter GEGEN den Wolf– which, besides English and German, is also available in Portuguese and Chinese).
Anyway, since they do all the publishing of it in Europe I am not really "in the loop" about rentals, so a random "just curious" google search today revealed that the Nuremberg State Theater ( or the Staatstheater Nürnberg, that sounds so much classier) is doing three performances of it in the fall of 2011.
I am excited.
The Staatstheater Nürnberg is no small outfit. It is "one of the larger stages in Germany," and I am sure they are going to do a bang-up job. Wish me luck, if I can manage it I plan to go see it. What fun. You can read the script on my website,
