I have this great idea . . . instead of overturning Citizens United, how about this: anyone running a political ad designed to sway voter thinking has to take an oath, that what they broadcast is true and not misleading . . . and they can be jailed for saying something not true.
After all, if you lie to congress or a court you face stiff penalties– why not the same thing for lying to us, the voters?
