Well last night I did my first ever self-produced book talk/seminar. It was really fun. I am totally exhausted, as this was a major departure from my usual presentation, it was designed to be much more interactive than my usual shows.
This was put together with great help from my pal Ligia Buzan, who defies simple description other than a major force of nature. She set the thing up in a retail store space in Newton Center here in Massachusetts, and oh my, I was not expecting this. This guy, Shaunt Sarian, is a serious fashion artist, making unique and custom handbags out of exotic materials. check out this video of a fashion show of his creations:

It was really fun to have this talk occur in this haute couture environment, when I so often appear in rather bland lecture halls and hotel meeting spaces.
So the talk went well, already I am planning another one, bigger. fyi I will be appearing on the Jordan Rich Show (CBS Radio) the night of Oct 5th 2012, not sure I can say “co hosting” but I will be on for the whole 4 hours making snarky comments. -jl
