Well like so many people I was sad to hear of Whitney Houston’s passing tonight. And then all of a sudden I remembered, I performed with her once, long ago, at the Statue of Liberty Centennial:
It was a memorable night to say the least. At the top of the video you can see me over to the right, over her left shoulder, I’m the blurry guy way in the back standing up,
and again at 4:33 but I am just a shadow.
When I was a kid on a farm in Ohio I often dreamed of coming to see the glamourous bright lights of the big city. I guess I am proof positive that dreams do come true.
This was just one year after I had written Peter VS. the Wolf. A whole lifetime ago.
