well in about two weeks the Nuremberg State Theater is going to do my "Peter VS the Wolf." This a big stage in Germany/Europe, and I am very excited about it, and i am severely bummed that i am not going to go see it.
Funny thing, the show is listed here:
http://www.staatstheater-nuernberg.de/inhalte/index.php?menu=1120&id=26991
but it is its listing below, on a list of all their other kid shows that somehow "hit me."
http://www.staatstheater-nuernberg.de/inhalte/index.php?menu=403
I guess there is a difference between its own webpage and its inclusion / being "on the list." It made me realize on a gut level that this show is kind of in the "bigtime."
(note these links will probably go out of date after dec 4 2011)
funny how the perceptions work sometimes . . .
I am often torn between making sure I keep my head about such events, and not get too full of myself, as that is the prelude to artistic death. But sometimes i think that maybe I am doing too good a job of that. I think maybe it's time to sit down for a moment and congratulate myself for making this facet of a childhood showbiz dream come true. not many people are having a show they wrote being done on a major european stage this month.
