Okay, granted, I spend a lot more time putting labels on packages and driving to the post office than most people… but then again, that gives me the right to make this complaint.
When someone asks you to e-mail them your address, nine times out of nine, you probably send them your street address, city, State, and zip code.
For example, I might tell you that my address is:
1 Randall St
Waltham, MA 02453
But this is not my mailing address. My mailing address is:
Justin Locke
1 Randall St
Waltham, MA 02453
Now maybe the person you’re sending your address to knows your name. But even so, we live in a copy and paste world, so the next time you send me your address, please send me your full address, and that includes typing your name on the first line!
