The Uproar Over Disney and Seal Team 6 (Humor)

There has been a bit of a hullaballoo on the internet lately regarding Disney Corporations’s trademarking of the phrase “Seal Team Six,” the name of the military unit that killed Osama Bin Laden.  This is somewhat surprising, given that Disney already owns trademarks on the names of several other United States military organizations.  For example, did you know that Disney owns the trademark on

101st Airborne™

Paul Revere’s Ride™

Sergeant York™

Omaha Beach Cemetery™

Bataan Death March™

D-Day™  and

United States Marine Corps™

Disney also owns the trademark  on the following patriotic phrases:

Pledge of Allegiance™

Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death™

Declaration of Independence™

We the People™  and

Democracy™

Disney also owns the trademark on The Waterboarding™, a new ride slated for completion in 2013, which is apparently to be an option for parents of unruly children.
