well my apologies to my regular readers, I have not been writing much. Truth is, more and more of what would be blog entries are becoming articles in online magazines! Also I am working on a new book and getting ready for reprints of both "Real Men Don't Rehearse" and "Principles of Applied Stupidity." I'm almost out of the 6th and 3rd printings and Christmas is coming, not to mention a whole bunch of speaking appearances coming up!!
Also I spent much of last week in Milwaukee, I was the after-dinner speaker at a customer appreciation event for Brass Bell Music Store. Many thanks to tristann and becky for having me out and for running such a great event.
I always forget how much friendlier midwesterners are than east coasters . . . One little story, the morning of my last day, I was looking at a "cousins" sub shop as a possible source of my airplane lunch . . . I was trying to figure out when they opened, and the owner came out and asked if he could help me, and offered to make me something then and there, even though not open yet. I was impressed. He then said, "come on back when we're officially open and I'll give you a free sub." Sure enough, he did. I tried to explain that I wasn't local and would not be back anytime soon, and offered to pay. He said, "That's okay, just tell your friends." So I am. By the way, the sub sandwich was fabulous.
