That said, FYI, I don;t do big projects. I am not a contractor. I don't build or install new. I mostly fix bits and pieces of old houses. I fix broken windows, broken sash cords, and I do basic locksmithing. I am very good at making doors and windows open and close properly, also making drawers work, and I do a great deal of cosmetic work like fixing holes made by plumbers and electricians. I am a meticulous guy, and I like to take the time to do the research and do the job right. Again, see the blog.
What else? It seems as though everyone has a "list" of little broken things that have been bugging them forever. Well, help has arrived. I will be very up front with you about whether your project is within my skill set or not.

Also (and maybe you heard about this on WBZ Radio or Jordan Rich's podcast), I have just written a book about the process of becoming a handyman, titled The Handyman's Guide to the Galaxy. It's a fun collection of stories of dealing with the steep and constant learning curve (not to mention culture shock) of taking on handyman work.
